For the third year running, the ECOSPORT AWARDS - initiated by theUNION Sport & Cycle 's Sustainable Development Commission - rewarded companies in the sport, cycle and active mobility sectors for their commitment and innovations in favor of the environment. Presented by Denis Brogniart on June 28 at the Maison du Handball in Créteil, five prizes were awarded:
eco-design:
for sustainability and the use of low-carbon raw materials in the creation of sporting goods and equipment.
the circular economy:
for the best implementation of solutions for the collection, sorting, reuse and repair of these items
the sustainably committed company:
for the protection of the environment: internal regulations, creation of a foundation, NGO contracts...
structures and practice areas:
for environmental innovation dedicated to places and spaces welcoming sportsmen and women.
the committed sports event:
for the virtuous and innovative event on the environmental level.
A special jury prize was also awarded, made up of experts, journalists and top sportsmen and women committed to environmental protection.
The special jury prize was awarded to NOLT for the design of t-shirts made from recycled plastic recovered from the Mediterranean and reused as recyclable training cups at the end of their life. Our 360° vision - eco-design, circular economy and short-circuit production - set us apart and enabled us to win this prize, of which we are very proud.
We're building this unique circular model thanks to an ecosystem of partners who have been with us from the outset, helping us with textile sorting, compounding and financing part of our R&D efforts.
Our little eco-responsible brand is starting to take off, and we're more than honored to continue changing the rules of the game, for real, and to have been rewarded for it!
