Since our creation in 2020, NOLT has been constantly innovating to offer the world's most eco-friendly sports products. 💚 Strongly committed to research and development, we never cease to offer innovative initiatives and an unwavering commitment to ecoresponsibility, quickly establishing ourselves as a leader in sustainable sports equipment. ♻️
Already a winner of Refashion's Innovation Challenge 2020 with the R-SHAPE project(recycling swimwear into sports cups), we are continuing to innovate and are back with an equally ambitious project: the infinite swimsuit. This project aims to chemically process non-reusable used polyester sportswear to create an infinite recycled polyester yarn, new sportswear, in partnership with Seaqual. 🌊
The aim is to recycle used club shirts in a closed loop. Working with partner clubs, notably the famous Auch club where iconic player Antoine Dupont hails from, we directly collect the shirts to produce new ones. This model could reach a capacity of 10 to 15 tons of recycled textiles per year when scaled up to industrial production, i.e. 150,000 new jerseys from used jerseys. ♾️
We have plans to recycle 5 to 10 tons of jerseys by 2024, and to produce new jerseys from recycled yarn by depolymerization by 2025. This chemical glycolysis process guarantees the quality of the yarn while minimizing its impact on the entire life cycle. This is a crucial step towards a more sustainable future for club sports equipment. 🌱"Imagining that the jerseys worn on pitches in 2025 will be made from old jerseys worn by players is fabulous. The Maillot Infini has not finished to revolutionize the world of sports, and NOLT is determined to make a positive impact on the environment and the future of the sports industry."

In the spring of 2023, nothing changed: we continued to innovate and finalized our first production run of cups made from old sports jerseys. 50,000 blue, white and red cups were sent to Decathlon Belgium, Casal Sport in France and Rugby Club Toulonnais. 🚚
Each cup contains around 30% textile. These 50,000 cups therefore represent 5,000 old jerseys recycled into sports cups. ♻️
In 2024, we want to triple these quantities by adding a fourth color: yellow. Lower energy costs will enable us to lower the recommended retail price, which is currently €25 incl. VAT for a batch of cups. 📉
2023 :
In March, we launched the first 100% circular cycling collection. The products in this game are made in Europe by a partner workshop specializing in the manufacture of cycling products.
In September, we continued our quest to make sport more responsible and turned our attention to ice hockey: a sport often regarded as energy-hungry. So we asked ourselves: how can we make this sport greener? That's how our partnership with Étoile Noire de Strasbourg for the 2023-2024 season came about. This partnership was built over more than a year around the creation of the first circular ice hockey jerseys and socks (100% recycled and 100% recyclable). 🏒
2024 :
For 2024, we want to accelerate our impact during this Olympic year. We're going to structure our first innovation laboratory - lab R-SHAPE - to support our R&D projects. We have also been working for several months on a project to move away from petroleum (polyester) and microplastics, while maintaining a 100% circular model. Sportswear that's infinitely recyclable, high-performance, beautiful, affordable and made from plant-based materials! 🍃
